For incumbent utility companies, building power grids is an expensive proposition, especially in remote, sparsely populated areas. As a result, over 600M people still rely on liquid kerosene to meet their basic energy needs. 

To bring affordable clean energy to remote areas, Liquidstar is developing a new category of energy solutions that use modular solar-powered smart batteries that can be distributed to those in need. The batteries run on a decentralized protocol that makes it easy to buy and sell energy through a smart contract, enabling a simple autonomous utility loop.
